Oppenheimer: On The Rumor Of Oppenheimer Shooting After Eating An almond, Cillian Murphy Broke The Silence

 

In the film “Oppenheimer,” Cillian Murphy garnered considerable praise for his powerful acting. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film has earned Murphy a nomination for Best Actor at the 2024 Oscars. Additionally, the film has received a total of 13 nominations for the Academy Awards. Murphy dedicated significant effort to his role in the film.

Recently, in an interview, Murphy addressed rumors about his eating habits during the filming of “Oppenheimer.” He clarified, “It’s not true. I think Emily said it very sympathetically that Cillian only eats one almond a day. It was more than that. I didn’t have time to socialize with other people and crew members at the time because I had a lot of work.”

He added, “I was working on my calorie and all other things. I didn’t go out for dinner at night, but I ate more than one almond a day.”

During the conversation, Murphy shared how his understanding of Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, evolved after portraying him in the film. He expressed that he perceived Oppenheimer’s humanity. He felt he had valued his talent less and burdened it more as a gift. Murphy also discussed his long-standing professional relationship with Nolan and highlighted the director’s distinctive style of filmmaking.

He revealed that Nolan preferred using only one set for Oppenheimer in a studio. It’s noteworthy that “Oppenheimer” was released last year alongside “Barbie” and performed exceptionally well worldwide, grossing a total collection of $960 million.
